Students as Teachers Night – Tonight from 5:00-6:30

Please join us tonight for a special event at Wilson Montessori.  Your children will have the opportunity to teach you their favorite lessons from the classroom while demonstrating some of their accomplishments! Students highly anticipate this evening, so we really hope you are able to stop by.  If you are not available and would like to try and reschedule, please contact the teacher as soon as possible to make arrangements. The teacher’s role this evening will be purely observational.  If needed, please contact the teacher the following day to schedule a conference.

ABAR – Anti-Bias, Anti Racist Training – February 17th

Please join us for our first Wilson Families United parent workshop!  Before this school year began, all our teachers received training in ABAR (Anti-bias Anti-racist education). This interactive workshop will introduce parents and other educators to the 4 goals of Anti-Bias Education for children and the 5 goals for adults. It will empower parents and educators alike to begin to self-reflect on their own prejudices and biases and learn how to challenge and empower children to do the same at home and in the classroom.

This Saturday, 2/172-4 pm.  Childcare available!  $10 donation requested but not required to attend!  Please click here for more information.   www.wilsonfamilies.us/ABAR

Middle School “Love is Love” Fundraiser

We have crunched the numbers from the Love is Love Family Valentine’s Dance! With your help, we were able to raise $4,100 for Wilson Montessori Middle Schoolers to go on their final trip of the year to Blackwood Land Institute! Thank you to all of the students and parents who baked and made art and showed up and worked HARD as well as all of our guests who danced and partied and celebrated our wonderful community! We want to acknowledge Star Cruz of Star Berry Sno Balls, Angela LaMonte of Only Once Images and DJ E$ for their time and amazing talents! And shout out to HEB Montrose for the drinks! They’re always there for us!
